THE TEAZE STORY

Revving the Engines, A New Chapter in Canadian Rock

Teaze, the iconic Canadian rock band, has entered an exciting new chapter, building on its legendary legacy with acclaimed new music, international distribution, and electrifying live performances that continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Known for their explosive sound and dynamic stage presence, Teaze was formed in Windsor, Ontario, by bassist and vocalist Brian Danter, guitarists Mark Bradac and Chuck Price, and drummer Mike Kozak. Early on, the band built a dedicated following performing high-energy shows at high schools across Ontario, quickly earning a reputation that led to their first recording deal.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 1977, captured the raw power of Teaze’s sound with standout tracks like “Rockin’ With The Music,” “Hot To Trot,” and “Boys’ Night Out.” The band soon signed with Terry Flood Management and Aquarius Records, setting the stage for their next release, On the Loose (1978). The album showcased Teaze’s songwriting range, with hard-driving rockers like “Nobody’s Fool” alongside the heartfelt ballad “Sweet Misery,” and also featured “Gonna Have A Good Time Tonight,” written by George Young, producer of AC/DC and brother of Angus and Malcolm Young.

Teaze’s international breakthrough came in the fall of 1978 when the band travelled to Japan and was met with an overwhelming response, selling out venues in Osaka and Tokyo and drawing ecstatic fans wherever they appeared. The experience was immortalized on the live album Tour of Japan, which captured the band’s powerful stage presence and helped cement their reputation as a world-class live act.

The momentum continued with One Night Stands, produced by Myles Goodwyn of April Wine, which marked a new level of songwriting maturity. The album blended powerful rock anthems such as “Back in Action” and “Young & Reckless” with more reflective moments like “Loose Change,” further expanding the band’s musical identity.

Following the release of Body Shots, Teaze continued performing to enthusiastic crowds across Canada before stepping away from the spotlight. After a long hiatus, the band returned with renewed energy and purpose. Guitarist Chuck Lambrick joined the lineup, bringing a dynamic edge to the band’s signature sound, and Teaze quickly found their groove again, performing shows in Nova Scotia, Edmonton, and Europe.

In 2024, drummer Jim Bonventre joined the band, taking over from Mike Kozak and bringing his own powerful rhythmic style to the lineup while honouring the band’s original sound and legacy.

Exciting things continue to unfold for Teaze. The band released a brand-new live album, Live at Liège, in the summer of 2025, recorded in Belgium and capturing the band’s legendary stage energy. A documentary chronicling Teaze’s remarkable journey is also currently in development. Most recently, the band released its long-awaited studio album, Rev Your Engines, through Escape Music in the UK, Europe, and Japan, and Deko Entertainment/Warner Music Group in North America. The album has received enthusiastic reviews from critics and fans around the world, marking a powerful new chapter in the band’s storied career.

With a lineup of seasoned rock veterans, a critically acclaimed new album, and a legacy that spans continents, Teaze is making a powerful impact once again. Whether headlining festivals or sharing the stage with legendary acts, Teaze continues to deliver the high-voltage energy and timeless rock sound that have defined the band for decades. With Rev Your Engines earning praise from reviewers worldwide, the band’s next chapter is already proving to be one of its strongest. Don’t miss the chance to experience this remarkable band live and be part of the continuing story of Teaze.
